So after my wonderful day spent with family I lined up to get on a small plane to Cincinnati only to find that an even smaller plane awaited to take me to Jacksonville. I was concerned that the "Life Line" door was ajar like it had been used the flight before us, also that there was one screw missing on the wing I was sitting next to. The first flight, however went quickly and was pleasant. I sat next to a woman who was talkative and a dentist. She was very interested in the fact that I was Italian and liked hearing all about my family. She kept trying to get me to give her recipes though... The guy on the second plane made no effort to recognize my existence. Not even when I said sorry for bumping his elbow.
After finally getting through the creepily abandoned looking airport in Cincinnati the view from the plane as the sun was setting behind the clouds was amazing. I listened to Mumford and Sons the whole(ish) way and it made a moment worth all the airport messes. As I watched the purple and blue clouds so thick that they hid the patchwork Earth below all I could think was "Thank you, God, for this right here". I hope I keep thinking that through this entire experience.... Even though Mary and Pete's old house creeps me out a little.
This bed is HUGE that I'm sitting in right now and it only makes me feel lonely, like it was made for AT LEAST two. I was going to set some goals for this trip, but I really don't have any... Stay sane I guess. Just kidding! ...sorta.
I'm going to try to get some sleep perhaps, can't wait for what tomorrow brings! Mary and Pete bought a bike for me to use and I get to try it out, as well as, we're having dinner with some people who own an antique store so maybe they'll hire me! Job, job!
Goodnight,
Sarah
